No, shots are not necessary but you should contact your primary care provider to be sure.
Should I bring my own board?
Only if you really want to. We have a full quiver of boards to rent for all levels of surfing.
Is there a restaurant close by? How much do meals cost?
Our on-site restaurant, Pizza Gavilan, has an amazing variety of fresh prepared meals such as salads, tacos, ceviches, burgers, pasta and, of course, pizza! We also have a shared kitchen for all hotel guests to use. There are other options around Playa Venao all ranging from $5-12+ for a meal.
Can I bring my own food and drinks? And is there a place to store it?
You may bring any food and non alcoholic drinks you would like and can cook/ store it all in the communal kitchen. Outside alcohol is NOT permitted, however. You can see all of our hotel policies here.
What is there to do in Playa Venao?
Besides the world class surf break, jiu jitsu, and fitness classes held at Beach Break Surf Camp, there are plenty of options for day tours such as: horseback riding on the beach, canopy ziplines, boat fishing, kayak fishing, waterfall hikes, turtle watching, and much more.
Are there convenience stores or places to shop in Playa Venao?
There is a small tienda (general store) and a few gift shops in the area to get the basics, but for bigger shopping, we suggest that you stop in the town of Pedasi on your way here.
